Mansard Roof Detail - Technical Detail

Application Instructions

A GRP roof can be laid up to a Mansard roof detail with either GRP or lead flashing. The flashing should be prepared while the remainder of the trim is being fixed to the roof. If the roof is laid to a GRP flashing (an A195 etxernal angle trim) a thin strip of PU Adhesive should be applied to the underside of the trim before it is firmly pressed into place. The trim should then be secured by clout nails fixed at 300mm centres along the edge. If the roof is laid to a lead flashing, a cut down AT195 external angle trim should be securely fixed by clout nails at 300mm centres to the perimeter of the roof so it overlaps the top edge of the flashing, the roof can then be laminated onto the top face of the trim.
